Katana III/XXII – Sting

Look at photographs of my first commissioned piece. It has been a pleasant experience working on an order, and being able to let go of a creation for a life in its own home!

And so I’m glad to say this, I am taking orders now, and not just for Katanas. If you want a piece, let’s discuss !

Wood Carving 5.0 : Peek / Tip-Toe

I had thought I would be able to write about sculpting, wood carving, this whole process. But it is best experienced for oneself. Whatever I might tell you about this may not make sense until you have picked up a hammer and a chisel for yourself. Until you have lived with a piece, seen it emerge from a block of wood, watched it grow as your hands work, you cannot possibly imagine how transformative the process is. You will have evolved as a man at the end of the journey which you had set out on with a prayer and hope, and you will be struck by the the wonderful realization that you are human. The log was destined to be much more than just a piece of wood, and your thought has led to its fulfillment.
